My interest in politics was awakened when I studied Economics at Åbo Akademi in the late 1970ies. I was elected to the student´s council (ÅAS) and later also to it´s board as co-chairman.
Then followed a number of positions of trust in social- and education boards as representative for Kaarina and SFP, both in my home town Kaarina and in Turku. In 1996 I was elected to the town council in Kaarina.
In 1997 I was chosen to work as CEO for a family owned company in Lahti. Now, having rather recently retired from that position, I´m back in day-to-day politics. In June 2021 I was elected member of the town council in Lieto, and am now chairman for the audit board and member of the industry committee.
